My guest for today’s interview is Kevin Riley from the Product Creation Labs. Kevin is an experienced offline and online entrepreneur who has a reputation for creating excellent, step-by-step instructions on all sorts of online marketing related topics. He also has several products teaching the different aspects of creating your own products and promoting them online.

In the interview, we talk about why he thinks even complete Internet marketing newbies should consider making their own products. He also shares some very interesting insights into the importance of approaching online marketing with the right kind of mindset and shares some tips on how you can avoid getting side-tracked and losing focus – a mistake many beginners fall victim to.

How can I make money online, fast? This question, or similar questions, have been popping up in my inbox occasionally. And go to any online marketing forum and you’ll doubtless see a couple of threads on this topic, as well. It seems that a lot of people get initially interested in online marketing because they are in a financial pinch and hope the Internet can get them out of it.

Just a quick update: SEOLinkVine has now been closed for new members. It’s still possible to sign up for free and add your own sites to the network and receive free content. However, the link-building portion of SEOLinkVine, the part you have to pay for, is no longer open for new members.

Three things I want to let you know about this:

2. For anyone who wanted to join, but missed the chance, I also have something for you guys in store. I’ll be publishing a link-building strategy that you can follow for free and that will give you similar or even better results than a system like SEOLV (depending on how intensely you use it, of course). This will not be free, but I will be offering it for a very reasonable price.

3. For everyone on the lookout for alternatives to SEOLV, I’m trying to get the chance to review other, similar systems like Article Marketing Automation, My Article Network and Unique Article Wizard. I can’t guaranee anything, but I’ll see what I can do. I’d love to do a proper roundup of the different alternatives and show you the actual stats and numbers, so you can decide which network is the best for you. If I can make it happen, I will. I just hope the owners of the networks will be cooperative.

This post is just a quick and well deserved shout-out to Tobias Bäthge, the creator of the WP Table Reloaded plugin. I’ve just implemented this plugin for my Internet marketing product reviews page.  That’s the page where I keep an overview of all the products I’ve reviewed so far. Before I used WP Table Reloaded, that table always looked a bit messy, and keeping it up to date was a hassle. If you go check it out now, you’ll see that it’s very tidy and neat looking and it’s now very easy for me to edit and update.  The tables WP Table Reloaded creates can even be made sortable and searchable.

I don’t really want to go in-depth on this, so let me just say: if you use or want to use any kind of tables on a WordPress site, do yourself a favour and get the plugin.

Just a quick post: I was over at the Traffic Café and saw something I just had to re-blog, because I like it so much. By the way, if you haven’t already, go over to the Traffic Café and subscribe to that blog. It’s one of the gems out there, run by Jonathan Gunson, who gave this awesome interview here on RQR, not too long ago.

Anyway, on to the actual topic. About once a month, something or other happens, that gets a lot of people all worried about the “end of online marketing”! Be it a new feature Google introduces (personalized search, anybody?), some rules changing (e.g. new Facebook advertisement rules), marketer’s accounts getting banned (AdWords, Blogger,…) or anything else along those lines. Whenever something like that happens, you can count on a lot of wailing about how the days of making easy money online are finally counted etc. etc.

Well, here’s an interesting counter-argument:
